The top order however struggled against the opposition, unable to keep their wickets intact and the scoreboard ticking. Opener Abdul Rehman however tried to keep his team alive with a handy knock of 32 before Dilip Kumar and Mansoor Ahmed's knocks of 38 and 64 runs respectively steered their side to recovery. M. Hunain was outstanding with the ball picking up 4 wickets in his spell with Farhan keeping the pressure on with his 2 wickets. Adamjee General ended at a respectable 172 for 9 in 20 overs.
In response, Jubilee Life Insurance lost opener Asim Farooq for just 3 runs but it was smooth sailing after that. His partner Hafeez and one down Ibad Anis dominated Adamjee bowlers with an impressive partnership. Hafeez scored a blistering 89 off 56 including 6 sixes with Ibad knocking 42 runs. Eventually, a cameo of 25 by Raghab helped Jubilee chase down the target in 18.2 overs. Inaam Khan took 2 wickets but was unable to defend his team's total.
