Shaikhani Fighters played against Scorcher Stars at Asghar Ali Shah Stadium at the final of the Shaikhani Premier League. Fighters batted first and Saqib with 30 and Kamran with 20 runs got them off to a good start. Fayyaz with 15 and Anus with 41 runs furthered the cause before Ali with 43 and Salman with a handy 27 ensured that Fighters ended at a huge total of 193 for 5 in 20 overs. For Stars, Waleed took 2 wickets while Muzammil and Saad took a wicket each.
In reply, Stars got off to a decent start as Shahzaib knocked 22 and Mohsin contributed 23 runs. Haris with 21 and Waleed with 28 also got good starts but none of them could capitalize and make it into a long innings worth the while and the subsequent batsmen could not sustain the pressure and only Waseem managed18 as Stars ended at 141 for 9 in 20 overs. Some excellent line and length bowling by Fighters bowlers as Salman, Jawad, Fayaz and Danish took 2 wickets each and Umair picked up a wicket.
Shaikhani Fighters won by 52 runs and were crowned champions.
