Bhayani Securities batted first against Insurance Association of Pakistan (IAP), with an in-form Ahmed Hussain once again turning up for his side. The star opener smashed 90 off just 47 balls at the top to get his team off to a great start. Syed Zia Shah further contributed to the total with 45 runs but the real surprise was the number of extras. 41 in an innings which boosted Bhayani Securities to a mammoth total of 219 for 7 in 20 overs. Nawaz Khan picked up 4 key wickets for his side but couldn't stop the onslaught.
In response, IAP completely cracked in the chase. After losing opener Ahmed Nawaz for just 1 run, things did not get any easier after that as the team continued to lose wickets. Sami Ur Rehman and Imran Iqbal did well to limit the opposition picking up 3 wickets in each in their spells as IAP were dismissed for 120 in 19.3 overs. Aamir Abbas tried to fight back with 26 runs but needed an extraordinary innings to chase down the target.
Bhayani Securities won by 99 runs.
