Alpha CC batted first against Rising Dragons at the 21st Challengers Cup with their top order throwing away their wickets. Faizan Azam and Yousuf Halari then attemped to steady the innings with cameos of 21 and 19 runs respectively before Arsal Ali's 36 and Adeel Shamsi's 51 boosted their side to a competitive 168 runs in 19 overs. Umer was outstanding in his spell, picking up 4 wickets while Farhan Shaikh also picked up a couple with the rest of the bowling unit chipping in to dismiss the opposition.
In response, Rising Dragons also started off in similar fashion with their top order being out early. The team then tried to recover with Uzair's 34 and Fahad Hussain's 26 leading the charge. Danish Naveed also chipped in with 35 and the team came close but were unable to get over the line. Alpha's bowlers did well to pull back the opposition and strike when needed. Jawad Ali was the star bowler for his side with 4 wickets while Areeb Naveed also picked up a couple of wickets.
Alpha CC won by 15 runs.
