Bilal Fighters scored a 43-run victory against the Sheqe Stars this past Wednesday at the Asghar Ali Shah Ground.
Bilal Fighters batted first and amassed a monstrous total of 184 runs in 20 overs for the loss of two wickets. Babar Hussain and Khurram Ali Khan gave a solid start to the innings by making 39 from 38 and 36 from 29 respectively. Then came on Ali Iqbal and made a very impressive 78 from 39 while remaining not out. Asif Izhar made 18 from 14. Saad Aarbi and Fahad Nadeem took the two wickets for the Sheqe Stars.
Sheqe Stars were off to a good start but no amount of effort on their part could help them match the required total. Despite some impressive performances from the middle order, the upper and lower order failed to back them up and thus the team fell for 141 runs in 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets. Bilawal Malik from Bilal Fighter took a very impressive five wickets in 4 overs, conceding just 21 runs while Fayyaz Hussain Warsi and Abdul Waseem A Karim took one wicket each.
