MSL Season 4 – Week 2

MSL Week 2 concluded with some exciting matches played as the players left it all out on the field. 

In Match 4, Classic Garments took on Benitoz and beat them by five wickets. Benitoz made 136 in 20 overs for the loss of eight wickets as Muhammad Muavia made 26 from 25, Mohib Ahsen made 28 from 26 and Furrukh Rangoonia made 29 from 24. Shahid Nepal took three wickets for the Garments and Saad Asif, Naveed Rangoonia and Hamza Shahnawaz took one each. The Garments were able to chase the target thanks to the tremendous efforts of Umair Usman (45 from 41) and Mirza Shoaib (34 from 32). Omer Khan, Anas Sattar and Mohib Ahsen took one wicket each.

In the 5th bout, the Suleman Textile Stallions beat the Rims Lions by four wickets. The Lions were extremely impressive making 175 runs thanks to 38 from Afnan Karim, 29 from Umair Yusuf and 45 not out from Waseem Ali. Taha Arsalan took three massive wickets for the Stallions. Shahryar Ghani's 95 from 69 and Nauman Ampara's 55 from 35 was all that was needed however to give the victory to the Stallions in dominant fashion.

In Match 6, the Archi Homes Patriots beat the Wintex Strikers by two wickets. Some impressive batting from Adeel Sabuwala (43), Ahmed Hussain (24) and Ali Iqbal (25) helped the Strikers get to 148 for the loss of six wickets. The Patriots were able to respond with some smashing knocks of their own; Adeel Khan made 51 from 25 and Hassan Mehmood made 39 from 33. They chased the target down in 19.2 overs.
