Askari Life beat Adamjee General Insurance by five wickets at the TMC Ground last week.
Adamjee came to bat first and after a poor showing from the opening order batsmen, Abdul Rehman rallied towards the end and made 34 from 28, not out. With the help of 21 extra runs, the team managed to reach 127 in 20 overs for the loss of nine wickets. Asfar Zaidi took three wickets while Muhammad Ahmed and Jahanzaib Zafar took two big wickets each and Umar Khan and Wajih Nasim took one each.
Askari Life chased the target in just 15.4 overs for the loss of five wickets. A consistent showing by the middle order in particular Sumair Siddique 24 from 22 and Umair Siddique 32 from 27, along with 17 extra runs helped them pick up the win. One wicket each was taken by Muhammad Farooq, Nasir Khan, Inaam Khan and Usman Siddiqui.
