The opening match of the Bold presents 1st Khelo Amateur League took place between Super Daddy Cricket Club and home ground favorites Karachi Gymkhana Demons.
Super Daddy Cricket Club won the toss and batted first with opener Khansha and one down skipper Shahram Rasool being dismissed early on in the innings. Opener Adeel Mansha however played a gem of an innings, smashing 64 off just 46 runs including 3 boundaries and 4 maximums to help stabilize his side. Abid Malik also chipped in with a cameo of 29 runs. Sajid Saleem and Sheryar Malik then stepped up, picking 3 wickets each for their side to limit Super Daddies to 141 for 8 in 20 overs.
In response, the KG Demons innings fell flat with both openers Arsalan and Farhan being dismissed cheaply. The team never really recovered after that and with the exception of Taha Zindani's fighting 32, the rest of the side threw away their wickets as the Daddies bowlers went in for the kill. Tariq Yousuf took 3 wickets while Khansha, Babar Mufti and Shahbaz Khan picked up a couple each to restrict KG Demons to 113 for 9 in 20 overs.
Super Daddy CC won by 28 runs with Adeel Mansha being awarded Man of the Match.
