His partner Kashif Rajput kept things running on the other end with a handy knock of 52 off 32. Askar bowlers were completely helpless, unable to stop the onslaught. TPL Insurance ended at a mammoth 212 for 2 in 20 overs.
In response, Askari Life needed an extraordinary innings to chase down this target. The team were off to a rocky start, losing their top order cheaply but Asfar Zaidi refused to give up. With no support on the other end, the middle order batsmen knocked an impressive 95 off just 52 balls with 7 boundaries and 4 sixes, desperate to pull his side back in the game. He remained not out but unfortunately, the target proved to be too much as Askar Life ended at 192 for 9 in 20 overs. A valiant innings in vain. TPL bowlers went for plenty but did well to keep picking wickets with Athar Jafri taking 3 wickets while also being the most expensive of the lot. Muhammad Kamran also picked up a couple.
