Strikers CC batted first against Al Jannat Fast Food at the NAC Cup (a partnership of KheloKricket and SportsFever 360).
Strikers CC unfortunately could not get going at any stage of the innings, losing wickets consistently to eventually be bowled out for 98 runs in 16.2 overs. Uzair Khan was in fine form, picking up 4 wickets in his spell at an astonishing economy rate of 3.30. Shoaib Ibrahim kept the pressure on with his unplayable 3 wicket spell as Strikers CC batting line up completely fell apart. Rehan Tanoli and Yasir Tanveer were the only 2 players to show any fight at the top with knocks of 31 and 33 runs respectively.
In response, Al Jannat Fast Foods were off to a rocky start after losing opener Sohail Fazal for duck on the very first ball of the innings. One down Ali Bantva also threw away his wicket cheaply but Haider Ali Bangash stepped up to save his side. Haider smashed an impressive 74 off 41, including 10 fours and 3 sixes to set up an easy victory for his side. Despite Al Jannat losing some quick wickets in the end, with the foundation set, Afzal Qureshi's 14 and a low total to chase helped them reach their target in just 13.5 overs. Saad Sultan fought hard for Strikers with 3 wickets in his spell.
