EFU General batted first against Adamjee Life Insurance with their top order doing well to post runs on the board. Opener Intikhab Ahmed contributed a handy 27 while Ahmed Nawaz and Nadeem Baig were the most notable batsmen for their side with 37 and 36 runs respectively. Adamjee bowlers were weak against the opposition, unable to pick wickets fast enough, giving away too many runs. Faizan, Shrikant, Umer and Obaid picked up a wicket each. EFU General posted a competitive 167 for 6 in 20 overs.
In response, the Adamjee batting line up was rattled by an impressive display of bowling by the EFU unit. Opener Saad Hassan lost his wicket for just 2 runs which triggered a complete implosion in the side. With the exception of Mujahid's 24 and Abdul Mohid's 22, none of the other batsmen were able to put together any kind of innings, eventually being dismissed for 97 in 17.2 overs. Ahmed Kanani was the key wicket taker for his side with 3 scalps while Nadeem, Tariq and Zunair took 2 wickets each.
