In a complete turn around from their previous match, Arsalan Iqbal CC defeated Diamond Homes by 70 runs at the NAC Cup (A partnership of KheloKricket and SportsFever360).
The batting side were off to a rocky start after losing their top 3 batsmen cheaply before Monik Khan and Ammar Iqbal stepped up to lead the recovery. Monik knocked 41 off 35 but Ammar was the real star of the show with an impressive 87 not out off 49 which included 4 fours and 3 sixes. Diamond bowler Syed Jawad Ali tried to save his side with 3 wickets in his spell but Arsalan Iqbal CC posted a competitive 170 in 20 overs.
In response, Diamond Homes were never really in the chase to begin with. The team lost opener Syed Inam Agha for duck and things did not get any better after that. Wickets continued to fall as Arsalan bowlers kept things tight and the pressure on. Tauqeer Khan was lethal in his spell of 3 for 12 while Shoaib Abbasi, Zafar Ali and Najeeb Ur Rehman took 2 wickets each. Diamond Homes were bowled out for 100 in 17.1 overs.
