Bilal Associates batted first against Arsalan Iqbal CC at the Winter Classic Cup.
The team were off to a roaring start with both openers turning up for their side. The ever reliable Shahid Mirani knocked an explosive 51 off 20 including 6 fours and 4 sixes. Zakir Malik kept the momentum going with his 44 off 28. With the foundation set, Bilal Associates were poised to make a huge total but Arsalan bowlers stepped in to pull back the game. After the duo were dismissed, the team fell apart with none of the subsequent batsmen able to capitalize on a perfect platform. Zafar Ali took 3 wickets in his spell while Daniyal Liaquat picked up a couple of wickets. Bilal Associates ended at 172.
In response, Arsalan Iqbal CC had some promising moments in the chase but were never really in the game. Pervaiz Ali's 46 off 33 and Waleed Khan's 20 gave their some hope but there were no formidable partnerships to get their side over the line. Sheikh Fahad tried with 23 off 17 lower down the order but Arsalan were restricted to 146 for 7 in 20 overs. Bilal's bowlers kept things very tight with Hamza Qadir's lethal spell of 3 wickets.
Bilal Associates won by 26 runs.
