Avengers CC batted first against Al Hamza at the Golden Gate Premier League Final. The batting side lost opener Haider and one down Fareed cheaply but seemed to stabilize and recover after that. A handy cameo of 24 by Sohail Khan and a blistering 63 off 39 by Usman Shah seemed to turn the momentum in their favour. After the pair were dismissed however, the rest of the team crumbled with 5 of their batsmen being dismissed in single digits as Avengers CC were dismissed for 142 in 19.2 overs. Shahid Mirani was on fire, picking up 4 wickets in his spell. Saqib Khan kept the pressure on with his 2 wickets.
In response, Al Hamza also seemed to stumble in the chase, losing wickets consistently but somehow managed to scrape a victory. Shahid Mirani was once again turned up for his side, top scoring with 32 while Asif Izhar's 31 and Saqib Khan's 23 saw Al Hamza Sports chase down the target in 19.5 overs. Avengers bowlers did well to try and fight back with Nasir Khan leading the attack with his 4 wickets. The team managed to get 7 wickets but it wasn't enough.
Al Hamza Sports won by 3 wickets and have won the tournament.
