Hiba Builders Thunders batted first against Friends Communication in another match of SPL Season 4. Thunders however lost opener Tayyab Balagamwala for duck with Haris Altaf and Faisal Butt also getting out cheaply. Adeel Sabuwala from the middle order then scored 48 runs with Aamir Motiwala scoring 24 runs to try and pull their side back in the game. Friends bowlers did well to keep wickets consistently, keeping the pressure on throughout. Adnan Salim then scored a quick 31 runs off 17 deliveries. Friends bowlers did a marvelous job and restricted opponents to a mediocre total of 139 runs. Ali and Obaid were the key bowlers, taking 2 wickets each.
In response, Friends were off to a very rocky start in the chase after Shahzed Yaqoob and Ghazanfar Ritchie were out early on in the innings. The Thunders bowlers were determined to fight back innings fought back not giving the Friends batsmen any room to score. Ibrahim from the middle order however remained undeterred, smashing 67 runs off 40 balls. His innings was supported by Bilal who made 23 runs. With a low total to chase, Friends crossed Thunders total in 18.5 overs. Sameer Ahmedani from Thunders picked up 3 wickets.
