Camran CC batted first against Karachi Stallions at the 23rd Challengers Cup.
Camran CC had an excellent start as both the openers set a strong foundation for their side. Kamran Salam scored 37 runs while Ismail scored a valuable 47 runs. The middle order then continued to capitalize further with Atif Ahmed scoring 31 off 21 and Arsal Ali with a blistering 39 off 23. Camran CC set a decent target of 166 runs on the scoreboard. Rehan Tanoli from Stallions bagged 2 wickets for his side.
Karachi Stallions in response didn’t seem to have a solid plan for chasing the target. Opener Rehan Tanoli gave an early blow to his team as he went out for a golden duck. Ali Naqi then scored some valuable 23 runs but his low paced innings had a negative impact on his team’s batting. Sohail and Kashif from the middle order played some quick innings and scored 28 and 32 runs respectively but their short stay on the crease didn’t help their team much. Camran bowlers put on a formidable display and bowled the opposition out for 138 runs. Ismail Shah was the key bowler for his side with 4 wickets while Mir Ahnaf also picked up a couple.
Camran CC won by 28 runs.
