Saadi Associates batted first against Media Shop CC at the 24th Challengers Cup.
The batting side were off to a very strong start with Ali Naveed's fiery 55 and Saad Kiyani's handy cameo of 20 runs. The real star however was Fahad Hussain with an exceptional knock of 82 off 44, including 6 fours and 5 sixes to boost Saadi Associates to 176 for 3 in 20 overs. Media Shop bowlers struggled against the opposition, unable to pick wickets, leaking too many runs.
In response, Media Shop CC lost opener Hammad Sheikhani for just 2 runs and were all over the place after that. The side put together a few decent partnerships but continued to throw away their wickets without making any real impact. Amir Majeed's 28 and Hamza Shahnawaz's 38 were the highlights for the chasing side as Media Shop CC were restricted to 142 for 7 in 20 overs. Saadi Associates did well to restrict the opposition with Wasil Hussain and Hassan Chaudhry taking 2 wickets each.
