Karachi Gladiators batted first against Muslim Gymkhana at the Al Wakeel Cricket League Season 3 and had a tough day on the field.
Gladiators batsmen were out of sorts, contributing a few cameos but unable to really get going at any stage. Gymkhana bowlers did well to keep the opposition in check, picking wickets consistently to stop the flow of runs. Afnan Karim knocked a valuable 25 at the top while Hamza Qadir's 29 and Imam Ul Haq (Not that one!) chipped in with 20 to help Gladiators scrape 137 in 19.4 overs. Fareed Shah Arbab who has been unstoppable lately, picked up 3 wickets while Akthar Mohammad Lala took a couple.
In response, Muslim Gymkhana wasted no time in chasing down the target. Opener Hurair Shahid scored a sublime 67 off 49 which included 6 fours and 3 sixes. Bilal Omer also scored a fiery 34 off 17 as Muslim Gymkhana chased down the target in 15.4 overs. Gladiators bowlers were ineffective.
Muslim Gymkhana won by 8 wickets.
