Friends Communication batted first against A&D Dawson at the Shaikhani Premier League (SPL), Season 4.
Friends batsmen were off to a relatively decent start despite losing opener Samiullah for just 2 runs. Bilal Omer stayed strong on one end with a valuable 48 with Shahvez Yaqoob scored 22. The team however continued to crumble, losing wickets without ever really capitalizing on some decent starts. Ali Naveed was the other notable batsman with a handy 38 as Friends Communication ended at 180 for 7 in 20 overs. Anzar Pasta was the key bowler for his side with 3 wickets while Umer Khan picked up a couple.
In response, A&D Dawson were off to a flying start and looked like they would take home an easy victory. Opener Hammad Sheikhani was in prime form, smashing 75 off 57 including 8 fours and 3 sixes. His partner Dawood Dawson also chipped in with 19 while Adeel Abbasi kept the momentum going with his 28. Friends bowlers however managed to pull the team back, picking up wickets but also keeping things tight to give little away. Yousuf Jetpur took 3 wickets and despute a roarding start, A&D Dawson ended at 168 for 5 in 20 overs.
Friends Communication won by 12 runs.
