Jubilee Life Insurance went head to head against TPL Insurance at the Eliminator 3 of the Insurance Premier League Season 2.
Jubilee batted first and lost opener Ibad Anis cheaply but seemed to stumble along after that. Muhammad Hafeez and Asim Farooq provided some stability in the middle with cameos of 30 runs each. M. Farhan also chipped in with 27 but the team never really took off, losing their wickets before they could build an innings or partnership effectively. TPL bowlers did well to get wickets when needed and keep the opposition in check. Taimoor Usmani was the key wicket taker with 3 scalps while Muhammad Kamran picked up a couple to restrict Jubilee Life to 140 for 8 in 20 overs.
In response, TPL were off to a rocky start after losing their openers cheaply. The team however pulled off the victory owing to Ali Haider's valuable 55 run knock. Muhammad Kamran also played a crucial role with his 24 as TPL chased down the target in 17.4 overs. Jubilee bowlers fought hard to try and limit the opposition but could not take enough wickets with Junaid Ansari leading the attack with his 2.
TPL Insurance won by 4 wickets and have secured a place in the final.
