The Chhipa Premier League season 2 began with Chhipa Strikers taking on the Shaikhani Fighters.
Batting first, the Chippa Strikers’ opened their account with a strong opening partnership, completely dominating the first ten overs. Malik Karar made 67 off 50 balls, with his partner Shahzaib Dyer contributing with a quick-fire 47 off 30 deliveries. Shaikhani Fighters managed to pave their way back into the game with quick wickets as the Chippa Strikers' middle order faltered and failed to contribute significantly to the total. Despite a solid foundation, Chippa Strikers ended their innings at a modest 167 runs.
The second innings saw Shaikhani Fighters’ openers starting steadily. Fayyaz Hussain played aggressively, falling three short of a half century, with Adnan Abdul contributing with a cautious 21 runs off 29 deliveries alongside. After the fall of a wicket, the Fighters’ middle order lost its way with Anas Waheed and Shoaib Khan picking wickets at crucial moments. Although Muhammad Salman attempted to get some momentum going, he was dismissed for 28 runs by Shoaib Khan. With runs piling on and wickets consistently falling, Shaikhani Fighters ultimately caved under the pressure as Waheed knocked over the lower order, picking up five wickets in the process.
The Shaikhani Fighters fell well short of their target, as Chhipa Strikers won the match by 15 runs.
