Zaifti CC competed against the Young Challengers in a match that was dominated by the Challengers.
Zaifti CC batted first and got off to a terrible start as both their openers fell cheaply. Muhammad Tariq Naseem and Farooq brought the batting side back into the game with a solid partnership in the middle. Naseem scored an incredible knock of 78, striking at over 160 despite not hitting any sixes. Farooq contributed with a thoroughly constructed innings alongside, falling just two short of a half century. Muhammad Ali provided a late impetus to prop up the batting side to a total of 174.
In response, Young Challengers sauntered their way through the chase. Despite losing an early wicket, the Challengers managed to consolidate a solid batting display. Top-order batsmen, Faisal and Osama, scored half centuries with Faisal making his 50 off just 18 deliveries. The remaining batsmen finished the job with ease inside just 15.5 overs. Zaifti CC bowlers did not have many answers to the batting onslaught with nearly every bowler averaging at over 10 runs per over.
The well-constructed batting display allowed Challengers to win the match by a comfortable margin of 6 wickets.
