Saif, Ahsan Guide Wolves To Victory

Thunder Wolves pulled together a solid chase in their contest against the Gladiators CC.

Gladiators CC got the opportunity to bat first but the openers failed to take any significant advantage of this. They got their team off to a slow start, collectively scoring a feeble 22 from 40 balls. Shahzaib Nazar and Farhan Nisar were able to compensate for this start somewhat with a useful partnership in the middle. After they both fell, however, Badi Ullah ripped into the batting order picking four wickets for 28 runs. The innings finished with 156 runs on the board for the loss of 8 wickets.

The second innings was thoroughly dominated by Thunder Wolves’ top order batsmen. Saif and Ahsan displayed some fluent stroke play, with both players earning half centuries. Ahsan’s 62 off 41 balls guided Thunder Wolves through the chase, easing their path to the target. In response, the Gladiators’ bowlers could not strike regularly enough to curtail the run flow. The middle order ultimately chased down the target with ease closing the innings inside just 17.5 overs.

Thunder Wolves strolled to victory by 7 wickets.
