SBC Orange and SBC Green paved their way to the final of the Sindh Bar Council Cricket Tournament to battle for the final glory.
SBC Orange batsmen took to the crease first with Agha Ibrahim and Faisal Ali starting off the innings. Faisal Ali fell for 11 early on but Ibrahim managed to score 27 off 18 balls. Naeem Baloch at No. 3 produced a stable batting effort to boost his team to a decent score. His half century was supported by smaller contributions from other batsmen as the team posted a respectable 163 on the board. Ashar Qureshi was the pick of the bowlers from the other end, picking 3 scalps for 25 runs.
Chasing a target of 164, SBC Green’s top order could not get their team off to a good start. The batting proceedings were slow as the team kept losing wickets. The middle order tried to salvage the run chase but Usama’s constant strikes kept the run flow in check. He picked 3 wickets for 17 runs in his 4 overs. The pressure of the final combined with the swelling required run rate ultimately got the better of the SBC Green batting order. They fell well short of the target as the final became a one-sided game.
SBC Orange won the match by 40 runs, taking home the Sindh Bar Council Cricket tournament’s final honors.
