Trail Blazers met the Chippa Strikers in the Season 2 of CPL.
Chippa Strikers batted in the first innings. Opener Bilal Aslam looked in supreme touch as he registered 72 runs from 33 balls. His brilliant striking was partnered with useful contributions from the middle order. Malik Karar at No. 5 remained not out with 34 from 16 balls. Rizwan Diwan and Rizwan Merchant picked up 2 wickets apiece, but the combined batting effort allowed the strikers to post a mammoth 186 on the board.
In the second innings, the Trail Blazers got off to a rocky start, losing one of their openers for a duck. Adamjee Tai stuck around to score 47 from 41. In the middle order, Ghazanfar Ritchie blasted 46 runs from 19 balls, striking at over 240. Waqar Hafeez also stepped up to produce a sublime innings of 39 from 15 deliveries. Ultimately, the batting side proved well-suited to chasing down the challenging total and completed the task inside 18 overs.
Trail Blazers won the match in a dominating manner with 5 wickets to spare.
