Royal Dolphins CC were matched up against the Strikers CC in the 25th Challengers Cup.
Royal Dolphins opened the batting in the first innings. The top order failed to impress as no one got past 20 runs. Strikers CC's bowlers put the batting under further pressure by striking consistently. Muhammad Awais, at No. 7, top-scored for his team with 23 from 13 balls. Apart from him, no other batsman put up their hand to salvage the batting effort down the order. Uzair Hanif brushed aside the last few batsmen with his 3 wickets, as the team folded inside 19.4 overs for an underwhelming 122 runs.
The second innings chase turned into a stroll in the park for the Strikers CC. Their openers came out firing on all cylinders. Waqas Vakil posted 70 from 43 balls, and his partner Ali Naqvi contributed with 53 off 35. Their 127-run partnership allowed Strikers CC to wrap up the innings in just 13 overs.
In a dominating display with both bat and ball, Strikers CC won the game with 10 wickets to spare.
