Butt Brothers went up against Olive Digital in the 24th Challengers Cup.
Butt Brothers came out to bat first. Ghani Subhan and Bilal Omer got them off to a flyer. Bilal scored aggressively, smashing 82 off 47 balls. Ghani held up the other end steadily, making 44 runs from 42 deliveries. The opening partnership set the stage for the batting side to score over 200. However, the middle order could not get going to build significantly on the efforts of the openers. Kashif Ali struck thrice, managing to contain Butt Brothers to 174 in 20 overs.
Chasing 175, Olive Digital began the proceedings with a few jitters at the top. Opener Muhammad Sardar was dismissed for a duck and Danish Munir managed just 18 off 13. Ghori Gazi at No. 4 was finally able to piece together a disciplined half-century. He guided his team towards the target with a blistering 67 off 40. His efforts were complemented by the lower middle order, which ended the chase with a flourish.
With two overs to spare, Olive Digital won the match by 5 wickets.
