Karachi Diamonds and Soldier CC went head-to-head against each other on 15th August at Gulberg Gymkhana.
Soldier CC opened the innings, with batsmen Qasim and Amir Ali. Amir scored 44 runs, hitting 3 fours. None of the batsmen, other than Amir, were able to score in double figures, which displayed their sloppy batting efforts. Javaid Basini was the star bowler, as he bagged 4 crucial wickets. In addition to this, Haseeb Yousuf was also vital in the bowling efforts, as he bagged 3 wickets. Hence, the bowlers restricted Soldier CC on a total of 104 runs.
Karachi Diamon started their chase with Jalees Basini and Javaid Basini opening the innings. Both collectively scored 34 runs. Moin Kodvavi was the highest scorer, as he scored 24 runs. The batsmen of Diamonds played slow, yet with temperament. Amir Ali showed class with the balls too, as he bagged three wickets. However, the bowlers were not able to defend their low target.
As a result, Karachi Diamonds emerged winners with 3 balls to spare.
