Royal Strikers and World Estate went against each other on 31st August at the Markhor League Season 2.
Hassan Mehmood and Sami Arshad opened the innings for Estate World XI. Hassan scored 37 runs, while Sami smashed 22 runs at a strike rate of 137.50. Ibad Anis played a stunning innings of 83 runs, hitting 11 massive boundaries. His innings led the team to a total of 179 runs. Strikers displayed a mediocre bowling effort, as they dismissed 4 batters only. Uzair Aslam was successful in bagging 2 wickets.
Uzair Aslam and Shahzaib Dyer opened the innings and scored 11 and 5 runs respectively, losing their wickets cheaply. Ejaz Khan played the most crucial innings with a sublime 65 off 39 which helped set up the win for his side. Shiraz Ali then kept the momentum going with his 48 runs. Despite Estate bowler Ali Ahmed’s impressive 3 wicket haul, the bowling side were unable to defend their total.
