Eyeland and Surrati Perfumes went against each other on 20th September at DHA Sports Club.
Khurram Shahid and Muhammad Imran Rafi opened the innings for Perfumes. However, much to their dismay both were unable to make a significant contribution to the score. Imran got out on a duck while Khurram scored 24 runs only. The batting efforts were poor and the bowlers continued to dominate. Asif Feroze was deadly with the ball, as he bagged a 5-wicket haul. In addition to this, his economy of 3.25 stood the lowest in 4 overs. None of the batsmen were able to cross the milestone of 24 runs scored by Khurram. As a result, the first innings came to an end with Perfumes posting a target of 103 runs only.
Khubaib Salman opened the innings for Eyeland, however, got out on a duck. The dynamic duo of CH Saif and Shayan Mateen continued the chase and secured a massive partnership. They were able to score 72 runs runs collectively and add significantly to the score. The bowlers displayed a mediocre effort, as they bagged 3 wickets collectively and were unable to defend the score.
Eyeland’s batters fiercely chased the score and ended the game on a high note in the 8th over only.
