IDL Marketing and Eyeland went against each other on 2nd October at the DCCL Season 3.
Owais Mansoor and Khubaib Salman opened the innings for Eyeland. While Owais got out on 4 runs only, Khubaib smashed a sublime 62 off 40 balls, hitting 10 boundaries. Chaudhary Saif, the one-down batter, also contributed 32 off 21 balls. The bowlers then dominated, as none of the lower order batters were able to make a significant contribution. Affan Imran took 3 wickets and Noman Chawla took 2. The neck-to-neck competition between the opponents resulted in Eyeland posting a total of 198 runs.
Faisal Shahid and Salman Saleem opened the innings for IDL Marketing to chase. However, both lost wickets on fewer runs of 6 and 17 respectively. Though Abdullah Abdul Rehman and Fahad Anis pitched in 24 and 22 runs respectively. However, the bowlers were ferocious and built pressure. Shayan Mateen dented the momentum largely, as he bagged 3 wickets. In addition to this, Noman Barry bagged 2 wickets.
As a result, Eyeland’s bowlers restricted the batters at a score of 125 and won the match by 73 runs.
