Jubilee Life Insurance went against Institute of Architects on 19th October at Gulberg Gymkhana.
Ibad Anis and Muhammad Hafeez opened the innings for Jubilee Life. The opening pair was phenomenal, as they gave a steady start to the team. Ibad scored 70 off 37 at a strike rate of 189.19. Hafeez smashed a century at a strike rate of 189.29, hitting 16 boundaries. He was caught on Muhammad Ibrahim’s ball at 106 runs. The middle- and the lower-order batters were unable to make a significant impact, as the bowlers dominated. Zakir Ullah led the bowling attack and took 3 wickets. The stunning opening partnership led Jubilee to a mammoth score of 230 runs.
Basit Zaidi and Muneeb Ul Hassan opened the innings for Institute of Architects. Basit scored a half century at a strike rate of 223.08. However, he lost his wicket on 58 runs to Usman Qaiser’s ball. Muneeb lost his wicket on one run only. The bowlers dominated with Usman bagging 3 wickets, while Farhan Khan dismissing 2 batters. The fall of wickets built pressure on the batting lineup, as none of them were able to stick to the crease.
As a result, Institute of Architects lost all their wickets in the 18th over. Hence, Jubilee won the match by 79 runs.
