Combined XI and Bantva Strikers went against each other on 24th October at the Bin Qasim Ground.
Danish and Imtiaz opened the innings for Combined XI. They gave a stable start to the team, as Danish smashed 31 runs off 17 balls, while Imtiaz scored 25 runs. The one-down batter, Aqib, was phenomenal with the bat. He remained not out and played a knock of 62 runs at a strike rate of 158.97. Abrar Ali Muhammad stood out of the bowlers, as he bagged 2 wickets. Ahsan Malik displayed a great effort, as he scored 51 runs off just 21 balls, hitting 8 boundaries. However, he lost his wicket in a run out by Muhammad Talha. Hence, Combined XI’s collective performance led them to a huge score of 213.
Hassan Raza and Muhammad Talha opened the innings, determined to chase the mammoth total. Hassan was stunning, as he scored 61 runs at a strike rate of 277.27. However, Talha lost his wicket on just 2 runs on Shani’s ball. The bolwers dominated in the middle overs. Tanveer led the bowling attack and knocked 4 wickets down at an economy rate of 8.00. Regardless of the ferocious bowling in the middle overs, Muhammad Muzammil shone through, as he smashed 33 off 20. The lower-order batters, Mustafa Junaid and Daniyal Junaid, tried hard to push the team closer to the score. However, their contribution was not enough.
As a result, the batters of Bantva were restricted to a score of 179, as all their wickets were knocked off in the 20th over. Hence, Combine XI won the match by 34 runs with 2 balls left.
