Warriors CC went against United Stars on 31st October at Asifabad Ground.
Batting first, Younus Khalid and Adeel Majeed gave a poor star to Warriors CC. Azhar Ali Shah dominated in the middle overs, as he took back-to-back 4 wickets. The middle-order could not withstand Azhar’s bowling attack. However, it was Ahmed Moten, the lower-middle batter, who smashed 66 runs off 38 and secured stability. Hence, Warriors was driven to a total of 129 runs.
United Stars’ openers Bilal Aslam and Shahzaib Dyer opened the innings to chase the total. Both gave a slow yet stable start to the team, scoring 25 and 10 runs respectively. Though the bowlers displayed a good effort, with Zain Altaf bagging 3 wickets. In addition to this, Muhammad Waseem and Fahad Ali took 2 wickets each. However, the batters sustained the pressure. Shiraz Ali was stunning with his effort, as he hit a half-century off 41 balls. However, he lost his wicket on 50 runs to Abdullah Imran. Cameos by the lower-order helped United Stars sustain.
Hence, Stars emerged as winners in the final over with only one wicket to spare.
