Taj Marquee Smashers batted first against Estate World XI at the Memon Big Bash League Final.
The team however struggled with the bat, consistently losing wickets, unable to build an innings and keep the scoreboard ticking. Uzair Aslam was the most notable contributor for their side with 36 runs while Idrees Amin’s 31 and Saad Dawood’s 23 helped their side reach a respectable 139 in 20 overs. Estate bowlers in fine form with Taha Arsalan taking 2 wickets and the fielders contributing with 2 run outs.
In response, Estate World XI’s batters were in a battle against Taj Marquee bowlers with the match coming down to the wire. The team lost opener Fahad Yahya for duck but continued to score despite losing wickets to help their side over the line. Hashim Hussain’s 38 at the top and a fighting 47 by Abdullah Afzal who remained not out had Estate World XI clinch the win.
