Gulberg Gymkhana and Naakians went against each other on 20th November.
Batting first, Naakians posted a mammoth total of 221 runs at the loss of 3 wickets. Ibrahim Ali opened the match with his stunning innings, as he smashed a century. He played at a strike rate of 206.12, hitting 5 fours and 7 sixes. However, he got run out on 101 by Khafid Un Nabi. Noman Shahid and Moiz Ul Haq also displayed good efforts, as they scored 38 and 47 runs respectively. The bowlers were unable to cause much destruction, as they dismissed two batters only.
Hussain Abbas and Farukh Rizvi opened the innings for Gulberg. The duo was monstrous, as, Hussain smashed 103 runs off 51, while Farukh scored 72 off 32. Their innings gave an phenomenal start to the chase, hence, releasing the pressure of the high score. Though Wajih Khan and Zakir Hussain took 2 wickets each. However, the batters were unstoppable.
As a result, Gulberg’s batters chased the mammoth total in just 18 overs and won the match by 6 wickets.
