Allied Engineering and Bayer Pakistan went against each other on 27th November at Hill Park Cricket Ground.
Batting first, Allied Engineering posted a target of 158 runs at the loss of 8 wickets. The top-order was thrashed by the bowlers, as the openers and the one-down batter collectively scored 6 runs only. Abid Altaf, the middle-order batter, stabilised the innings for the team, as he scored 46 runs. Syed Taimur massively dominated and bagged a 4 wickets at an economy rate of 6.50. Ahsan Mirza and Muhammad Rashid dismissed 2 batters each. Azeem Arif’s cameo of 29 runs was also crucial.
The bowlers of Allied Engineering massively dominated the second innings. The openers were unable to mark an impact, as they scored 6 runs collectively only. The one-down batter, Imran Mahmood, scored 12 runs only and none of the other batters were able to pass that score. The bowlers dimissed all the batters in just 8 overs at 35 runs.
Abid Altaf and Mohammad Muzammil Tariq were clinical in bowling attack, as they bagged a 3 wicket haul each. In addition to this, Bilal Ahmed and Syed Rawaha knocked off 2 wickets each. Hence, Allied Engineering emerged winners by 123 runs.
