Medicam batted first against Royal Strikers at the Power Express League Season 2. Opener Umer Lohya was sensational with the bat, scoring 104 runs off just 70 balls including 14 boundaries and 1 six to remain not out throughout the innings. Houd Adnan chipped in with 21 runs but the bowlers despite taking wickets regularly could not break Umer’s momentum. Medicam ended at 173 for 5 in 20 overs. Saad Sumar and Kashif Tajani took 2 wickets each.
In response, Royal Strikers opener Umair Tariq fought valiantly to try and chase down the target. He knocked an impressive 76 off 47 balls including 6 boundaries and 4 sixes. The team however kept losing wickets throughout, unable to build any real partnerships to get their side over the line. Batter Bilal tried to keep his side in the game with a valuable 30 run cameo but the side fell short, being dismissed for 153 runs. Umer Lohya was unstoppable in the match, picking up 3 wickets along with Houd Adnan who also took 3 wickets and the rest of the unit chipped in.
