NBPians went against Shan Foods on 4th December at Eastern Star Ground.
Batting first, Shan Foods posted a total of 175 runs at the loss of 6 wickets. Their openers did not give the start that the team needed, as they lost their wickets on a total of 11 runs only. Abdul Rehman and Adeel Abid Shamsi stabilised the innings by adding 39 and 34 runs to the score respectively. Mohammad Ahsan Khan, Omar Ul Haq and Waseem Iqbal dominated in the middle and took 2 wickets each. Syed Saqlain’s cameo was crucial and added 40+ runs to the final score.
The chase was very sloppy, as the batters were unable to mark an impact. Faizan Razi, the lower-middle order batter, was the highest scorer of the innings with only 21 runs off 18 balls. The momentum was destroyed credit to Raja Shamraiz Kayani who bagged a 4 wicket haul. In addition to this, Adeel Abid Shamsi and Samano Khan took 2 wickets each.
As a result, Shan Foods dominated throughout the match with both the bat and the ball. Hence, sealing the match in 14.4 overs.
