PSO won by 23 runs against Spirit CC in the match played at TMC Cricket Ground.
The PSO batting started steadily as Asif scored 26 runs on 30 balls; whereas, other opener Bilal managed to score 17 runs. Middle order batters struggled to contribute significantly but then Muhammad Bilal’s 44 runs odd innings helped the team reach a respectable competitive score of 140+ runs. Spirit CC bowling was helped by their decent team effort as three of their bowlers took 2 wickets each. Other bowlers also contributed by taking 1 wicket each.
Spirit CC started their chase in a shaky manner as their openers and middle order batters collapsed to low scores. Small contributions of 20+ runs by their middle order batters did help them reach closer to the total; however, Spirit CC remained short of 23 runs in total.
PSO successfully defended their total courtesy to Kamran’s 3 wickets. Ali and Mir took 2 wickets each to facilitate the bowling line up. Faizan and Bilal only took 1 wicket each.
