International Warriors batted first against TH Thunders at the NSL Final. Opener Omair Ul Haq and one down Ausaf Rabbani were in top form with Omair scoring a conservative 44 and Ausaf contributing a sensational 77 runs. Despite the duo’s brilliant performance, the side lost a few wickets and didn’t accelerate to a mammoth total. TH bowlers tried to keep things in check with Waseem Iqbal picking up a couple of wickets and the bowlers generally being disciplined in their approach. International Warriors ended at 161 for 3 in 20 overs.
In response, TH Thunders made quick work of the total with their top order essentially sealing an easy win for their side. Raheel Hussain scored a blistering 79 off 40 while Zeeshan Siddiqui and Ahsan Khan contributed 40 and 33 respectively to help TH Thunders chase down the target in just 17.4 overs. Warriors bowlers could do nothing to stop the onslaught with only Naeem Hanif able to take a wicket.
TH Thunders won by 9 wickets and were crowned champions.
