Medicam came in to bat first & were off to a dreadful start loosing 3 wickets inside the powerplay. Umer Chawla & Houd Adnan steadied the ship for their team. Umer Chawla was dismissed after scoring 22 runs off 24 deliveries. Houd Adnan followed him soon after scoring 33 runs off 29 deliveries. Once the partnership was broken the bowlers made their comeback as they started to pick up wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. The middle order & the lower order completely collapsed. Furqan Ahmed lead the bowling lineup picking up 3 wickets. He found good support from Sheikh Ubaid Ur Rehman who picked up a couple of wickets himself. Medicam were bowled out for 107 runs in 17.3 overs.
Haseen Habib came in to chase down this target & were off to a similar start as they managed to loose 3 wickets inside the powerplay as well. Furqan Ahmed & Jibran Saeed put some sort of a partnership before Furqan was dismissed after scoring 14 runs. Hasham Shuja came in & was looking good until Jibran Saeed lost his wicket after scoring 48 runs off 39 deliveries. The bowlers then managed to pickup wickets in quick successions. Completely blowing away the lower order. There were 3 ducks in the lower order & Hasham Shuja was left stranded on 20 runs. The bowlers managed to pickup wickets from the other end & the game went down the wire. The bowlers managed to hold their nerve as the game ended as a tie. Abdullah Nawab lead the bowling attack picking up 3 wickets. He found good support from Umer Lohya who picked up a couple of wickets. Haseen Habib were bowled out for 107 runs in 17.1 overs.
The match was tied which meant the teams played a super over. Medicam managed to hold their nerve in the super over & emerged victorious & were crowned champions.
