Old School XI came in to bat first & were off to a flying start as their openers managed to score big inside the powerplay. Imran Nawaz played a sublime knock of 59 runs off just 24 deliveries. Ariz Razi played a solid knock of 35 runs off 32 deliveries. Ehsan Zaheer came in & played a fiery knock of 42 runs off just 20 deliveries. The bowlers then managed to pickup 4 wickets in quick succession. The momentum was stopped dead in it’s tracks by Naveed Anjum whi scored 27 runs off just 11 deliveries & Syed Hunain who played a cameo of 20 runs off just 6 deliveries. The bowlers managed to pickup wickets but were unable to stop the flow of runs. Rayed Ahmed lead the bowling lineup picking up 3 wickets. He found good support from Hasnain & Muhammad Hamza Khan Lodhi who picked up a couple of wickets each but went for plenty. Old School XI were bowled out after putting a mammoth total of 223 runs on the board.
North XI came in to chase down this target & were off to a decent start. Despite loosing 2 wickets inside the powerplay they were scoring at a high rate. Umer Sheikh played a camoe of 17 runs off 7 deliveries. Syed Umer scored 25 runs off 20 deliveries. Shaheen Shah also scored quick 25 runs off 18 deliveries. The batsmen were able to get their starts but were unable to convert those starts into a big innings as the bowlers kept on picking up wickets at regular intervals. Ahmar Abbas came in & played a fiery innings of 31 runs off 18 deliveries. The rest of the batting lineup couldn’t do much as the bowlers kept on picking up wickets. The lower order completely collapsed. Naveed Anjum lead the bowling lineup picking up 3 wickets. He found good support from Imran Javed & Ehsan Zaheer who picked up a couple of wickets each. North XI 2021 were bowled out for 176 runs in 19.5 overs.
