Salam Takaful Pakistan Limited came in to bat first & were off to a flying start. Despite loosing a wicket early on they were scoring at a high rate. Hammad Mughal & Subhan Ali put up a fiery partnership at the top. Subhan Ali departed after playing a cameo of 20 runs off 8 deliveries. Hammad Mughal also played a fiery innings of 45 runs off just 18 deliveries giving their team a fiery start making full use of the powerplay. Rameez Mehboob came in & he too played a cameo of 47 runs off just 27 deliveries completely blowing away the bowling attack. Once the top three was dismissed the bowlers managed to make their way back into the match picking up wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to settle in. Batsmen struggled to spend some time at the crease as the bowlers bowled at tight line & lengths not allowing the batsmen to score easily. The bowlers dominant the second half of the innings. Kamran M Hanif managed to score 23 runs off 17 deliveries. The rest of the batting lineup completely collapsed. Muhammad Saad lead the bowling attack picking up 3 wickets. He found good support from Abdul Majeed who managed to pickup a couple of wickets. Dawar Khan, Amir Aslam & Amit Chandan managed to pickup a wicket each. Salam Takaful Pakistan Limited were bowled out for 187 runs in 19.5 overs.
Askari Life Assurance came in to chase this target & were off to a strong start. Their openers Dawar Khan & Ali Raza put up a partnership of 50+ runs giving their team the perfect start. Dawar Khan scored 30 runs off 23 deliveries where as Ali Raza scored 36 off 29. Once the opening pair was dismissed the bowlers asserted their dominance on the game. The bowlers picked up wickets at quick successions not allowing the batsmen to settle in. The batting lineup completely collapsed. Sumair Siddiqui & Talha Arshad fought back bravely towards the back end of the innings. Sumair Siddiqui scored 21 off 14 where as Talha Arshad scored 28 off 18 but it was too little too late. Habibullah Khan was like a magician with the ball in hand. He was unplayable & he single handedly tore apart the batting lineup picking up 6 wickets. He found good support from Dawood Saeed who managed to pickup a couple of wickets. Irfan Shah managed to pickup a wicket as well. Askari Life Assurance were bowled out for 138 runs.
