Butt Brothers victorious over Shaheen Cricket Club

Butt Brothers came in to bat first & were off to a shaky start. Despite loosing a wicket inside the powerplay they were scoring at a high rate. Asif Siddiqui gave them a fiery start at the start as he played a cameo of 33 runs off just 19 deliveries. Suleman Saleem also scored with the same intent as he scored 22 runs off 16 deliveries. Zubair Dilawar managed to score 12 off 10 where as Kashif Khan stood rock solid from the other end. He played a cautious innings of 39 runs off 33 deliveries while other batsmen played around him. M Yasir came in & he played a solid knock of 37 runs off 29 deliveries. Khalid Khursheed Kaka ended the innings with a flourish as he played a cameo of 18 runs off just 4 deliveries. Haider Razzaq lead the bowling attack picking up 3 wickets. He found good support from Waqas Akbar who managed to pickup a couple of wickets. Butt Brothers posted a total of 199 runs for the loss of 7 wickets.

Shaheen Cricket Club came in to chase this target & were off to a flying start. Their openers Abdullah Fazal & Waqas Akbar put up a partnership of 50+ runs giving their team the perfect start to the run chase. Waqas Akbar did the bulk of the scoring as he was hitting the ball cleanly towards all parts of the ground. He departed after playing a fiery innings of 42 runs off 25 deliveries.  Umair Tariq came in & he looked in no mood to settle as he played a cameo of 20 runs off just 8 deliveries. Zain Anwar also contributed with his 23 off 13. Abdullah Fazal departed after playing a sublime knock of 67 runs off 50 deliveries. Once he was dismissed the bowlers made their comeback. The bowlers then bowled at tight line & length picking up wickets at regular intervals not allowing the batsmen to score easily. Saad Asif came in & he scored 13 off 8 while Haider Razzaq scored 22 off 13 but it wasn’t enough to seal the deal for their team. Khalid Khursheed Kaka lead the bowling attack picking up 3 wickets. He found good support from Mir Azizullah who managed to pickup a couple of wickets.
