Day 3 the KheloKhavateen Ramzan tournament powered by Daraz was absolutely explosive- kicking off with the 3 qualifiers to see which team would make it to the final.
The qualifiers were played between Athletic Club, Disco Ninjas and BSL Women. Athletic Club were off to a cracking start, scoring a mammoth 105 for 3 in 6 over against Disco Ninjas. Areeba Hanif and Laiba Fatima were outstanding, scoring 33 and 27 runs respectively. Ninjas made a valiant effort to chase down the target with Saira Umar’s 29 off 13 and Hajra’s 16 off 7 giving their side a fighting chance. They eventually fell short by 32 runs.
Athletic Club then took on BSL Women in the 2nd qualifier, once again scoring big, posting a target of 87 in 6 overs. Areeba Hanif and Laiba Fatima could do no wrong, scoring 32 and 25 runs each. In response, BSL Women were determined to win the match with Sundus’s 35 runs helping their side clinch a close win with 1 ball to spare. Areeba Hanif was outstanding in her spell, picking up 3 wickets but was unable to win it for her side. BSL Women and Athletic Club now had 1 win each on the board.
The last qualifying match was played between Disco Ninjas and BSL Women. Disco Ninjas batted first and posted a modest target of 67 runs. Ilsa’s 24 off 22 was the highlight of their game with none of the other players able to connect. In response, BSL Women absolutely dominated the opposition, chasing down the target in 4.5 overs. Sundus and Mehek scored 29 and 27 runs to see their side comfortably to the final.
Athletic Club and BSL Women were through to the final.
