The final of the KheloKhavateen Ramzan tournament powered by Daraz was one of the best we’ve ever witnessed to date with the match being won in a super over- the first in the history of our tournaments!
Defending champions Athletic Club batted first against BSL Women and ended up with a low score of 49 for 2 in 6 overs. Laiba Fatima was able to knock 13 runs but the rest of the team faltered with the 25 extras saving them. Mehek’s fine form continued as she picked up 2 wickets. In response, BSL Women were met with a fiery display of bowling as Athletic Club refused to give up their title, Easha Shaikh picked up 3 wickets. 3 world class catches, a wicket and a run out by captain Arijah Haseeb pulled their side back in the game. BSL Women struggled to score big with the team scrambling to 49 in 6 overs.
With scores level, the match went into a super over. Subhana and Sundus came out to bat for BSL Women, posting 15 runs. Athletic Club fell short, scoring 9 runs in their over as BSL Women Clinched the trophy in the most epic manner.
BSL Women were crowned the KheloKhavateen powered by Daraz 2023 champions.
