Faysal Bank triumph over Glaxo Knights

Glaxo Knights batted first & suffered an early setback, losing three quick wickets. Despite the early blows, Umair Majeed showed resilience and played a brilliant knock, scoring 47 runs off 39 deliveries. He displayed a mix of aggression and composure to stabilize the innings. Alongside him, Muhammad Azam played a crucial unbeaten inning of 33 runs off 24 balls, providing valuable support to the team. In the latter stages of the innings, Aqib Bega played a blistering knock, smashing 48 runs off just 28 balls. His late onslaught propelled Glaxo Knights to a competitive total. Tariq Murad, representing Faysal Bank, had a notable bowling performance, taking two wickets to restrict Glaxo Knights’ progress. Despite their efforts, Glaxo Knights managed to post a respectable total of 173/7.

In response to the target, Faysal Bank’s openers, Tariq Murad and Talib Ali, started their innings with aggression. Tariq Murad scored a quick 17 runs off 12 balls before departing. However, it was Talib Ali who stole the show with a spectacular unbeaten innings of 91 runs off just 48 balls. His innings was filled with elegant strokes and powerful hits, giving Faysal Bank the upper hand in the chase. Supporting Talib Ali, Syed Amir Abidi chipped in with 18 runs off 18 balls, keeping the momentum going. Khurram Shamsi, too, played an unbeaten inning, contributing 21 runs off 22 balls. Faysal Bank’s batsmen displayed remarkable composure and skill, ensuring that their team reached the target comfortably.
