Super Star CC clashed with Dawson Stars in this thrilling fixture of the 15th Challengers Cup. Super Star CC had a slow start as they batted first. The top order failed to gather enough runs to put their team in a commanding position. Promising knocks by Shezad Niaz, Saad Dawood and Faisal Kashmiri, allowed Super Star CC to post a competitive total on the board. Shezad Niaz scored 29 runs off 24 balls while Saad and Faisal scored 30 runs each in 22 and 12 balls respectively. M. Ali Khan picked up 3 wickets while 2 wickets each were taken by Babar Khan, Ammar and Waqar. Super Star CC were all out for 145 runs.
Dawson Stars had an outstanding start to their chase as both openers found it easy to score boundaries. Dawood Dawson scored 41 runs off just 28 balls before he got out. M.Ali Khan joined Aashir Ahmed and made sure that he assists Aashir well. Ali scored 25 runs off just 16 balls while Aashir scored a match winning knock of 71 runs with 12 fours and a six. It was the 14th over when Dawson Stars chased the target and won the match by 8 wickets.
