Karachi Fighters clashed with Zamzam Sports in this exciting fixture of the 15th Challengers Cup. Karachi Fighters had a dismal start as they batted first. Openers failed to provide a solid start to the innings and this affected the performance of the rest of the top order. Suleman Ghani managed to score 21 runs off 14 balls and supported Ikhtyar Shah to a great extent. Ikhtyar Shah was the top scorer with his fierce batting display which resulted in 41 runs off just 25 balls. The rest of the batting lineup failed to stay on the crease for a meaningful time. Shahid Mukhtar was the best bowler for Zamzam Sports with his superb bowling figures of 5 for 22 in 2.5 overs. Karachi Fighters were all out for 132 runs in 17.5 overs.
Zamzam Sports begun their chase with the departure of both openers in quick succession. Bilal Malik and Ashfaq Ur Rehman provided early breakthroughs to Karachi Fighters and put their team in an ideal position. But all the hopes of a convincing victory were shattered by the brilliance of Rafiq Khattak. He pelted the ball with a strike rate above 200 and with 12 boundaries he scored 73 runs off 36 balls. This marvelous display of batting was assisted by Khursheed Alam who managed 30 runs off 24 deliveries. Due to this powerful hitting, the bowlers lost all control and conceded all the runs in just 12.3 overs. With a towering run rate of 11.06, the match was won by Zamzam Sports by 8 wickets.
